Journeying Home: Small Group Resource for Young Adults

The first movement of Spirit Alive!, Spiritual Renewal in the Diocese of Rochester, calls us to deepen our relationship with Jesus. This resource uses the life and teaching of Jesus and his disciples to help young adults explore their relationship with Jesus and how their final Home impacts their lives in the world today.

This small group resource uses the important theme of “home” as the basis of five sessions. It is geared towards young adults, but could be used by anyone. Parishes can use this resource in a variety of ways:

• put the information on their parish websites and invite people to form their own small groups at home or work
• gather names and contact information of those interested in creating a small group and help them connect, allowing the people in the group to establish their own times and location
• offer each session at a scheduled time at the parish center or local gathering place
• invite people to use the sessions as a part of their own spiritual journaling (which is described in the beginning of the resource).
